TRACE D4 SRCOverviewThe TRACE D4 SRC offers 4 AES/EBU stereo I/Os with 24 Bit and samplerates up to 212 kHz. The I/Os are accompanied with a Wordclock input and high-quality samplerate converters. In addition to providing high quality inputs and outputs, the TRACE D4 SRC includes a number of features unique to MARIAN, especially suited for use in the professional field, including music studios, radio and television broadcast, theatres, stage and PA. The special developed highspeed hardware architecture enables ultra low latencies below one millisecond - practically without CPU load - even when using all channels at a bandwidth of 192 kHz! Besides the hardware integrated DSP Mixer with Totall Recall the new TRACE family offers a card-spanning TDM SyncBus, which enables the free routing of audio channels. This makes single channels or complete sub-mixes available to all TRACE cards within the main system. The Trace D4 SRC excels due to easy installation and a steadily controlled high quality of manufacturing. MARIAN offers a warranty of 5 years. Inputs/Outputs - Uncompromising Audio qualityThe TRACE D4 SRC offers 4 AES/EBU stereo inputs and 4 stereo AES/EBU outputs (balanced XLR) with 24 Bit and samplerates up to 192 kHz. The hardware design is focussed on providing superlative audio performance and high resolution audio with sample rates up to 212 kHz. The superb feature set and the special functions fulfill the specific requests of radio and TV broadcast stations. The flexible and intelligent clock control allows a seamless integration in every digital setup. The card can be operated either as clock master or receive the clock from the TDM SyncBus, the wordclock input or any AES/EBU input. Highspeed Hardware ArchitectureNewly developed PCI- and DSP technologies enable ultra low latencies below one millisecond practically without CPU load - even when using all channels at the full bandwidth of up to 192 kHz! A TRACE system is the perfect partner for performance intense applications such as software instruments and complete audio in-the-box-productions. DSP MixerThe MARIAN digital mixer - completely integrated in the TRACE hardware - operates with quick and flexible DSP functions allowing latency-free mixing of all signals to several stereo sums as well as the latency-free monitoring and routing of all inputs to all outputs. Thus perfect monitor mixes can be set up quickly and played back on any output. Among others, the mixer offers gain, solo, mute and pre-fader metering and can be configured optically - all inputs/outputs and many mixer sections can be either shown or hidden. All audio-, routing- and layout settings are easy to save and load within session files (total recall). TDM SyncBusUsing the hardware based TDM-SyncBus up to 4 TRACE audio systems can be connected to one synchronous main system, in which not only the same digital clock, but also absolute start/stop synchronization of all connected inputs/outputs is ensured. For example, 4 TRACE D4 could be connected to one system with a total of 64 channels at 192 kHz. It only needs a flatband SyncBus cable. The new TDM SyncBus spanning all installed TRACE cards enables the free routing of up to eight channels. This makes single channels or complete sub-mixes available to all TRACE cards within the main system. A TRACE main system with inputs and outputs of any type - analog or digital - can thereby be used as router, patchbay, converter or splitter. Typical usage: Connecting an external reverb and/or effect units to one card making it available to all other cards. A complete modular audio system gets finally real! Samplerate ConversionThe TRACE D4 SRC includes samplerate converters on all inputs, ensuring an excellent adjustment to the master clock if needed. Using the best components available outstanding technical specifications are guaranteed (THD: -140 dB). Driver SuiteThe TRACE D4 SRC provides a complete list of drivers for Windows XP/2000. The multi-client driver for ASIO, GSIF 2, WDM with kernel streaming and real, non emulated DirectSound support, constantly improved and expanded, provide minimal latency values for all software environments. Modular and handy driver dialogues enable the manipulation of many parameters and the display of all in and outputs. That includes exact hardware level metering, flexible monitoring and synchronisation settings. |
