Steps to setup the MARIAN Clara E drivers in a Waves LiveBox
The Windows version in waves LiveBox does not support MARIAN's "setup.exe" for installing the Clara E. On such systems the Software Component Drivers and Base Hardware Drivers must be updated manually. This can be done by following the steps "Driver Update". If this fails several times jump to the instruction of "Remove all older versions" and retry the installation afterwards again.
Driver Update
- In the windows device manager, update the Clara E in "Sound, video and game controllers" by right-clicking and choosing "Update Driver"
- Choose the folder of the v4.7.1.0 drivers files and proceed the update.
- Ignore/skip any messages about incompatible firmware.
- Immediately afterwards update the Clara E in the section "Software Components" by right-clicking and choosing "Update Driver"
- Choose the folder of the v4.7.1.0 drivers files and proceed the update.
- Ignore/skip any messages about incompatible firmware!
- Restart your computer.
Check Driver Update Results

The Clara E Icon should appear as taskbar icon.
Check version via the Taskbar Icon | Click | About. It should be 4.7.1.0.
OR
-
A firmware update request message from Clara E GUI appears.
Testwise click "No" - then check version via Taskbar Icon Menu | About. Should be 4.7.1.0.
If OK, open Settings | Firmware via Taskbar Icon Menu, "Start Dante Firmware Update Manager now" and proceed.
If the Clara E Icon does not appear and you are not requested to update the firmware, continue with "Remove all older versions".
Remove all older versions
- Extract "rmce.zip" to any folder
- Open command line (cmd.exe) with administrator privileges
- Change current path to the folder where "rmce.zip" has been extracted to.
- Execute "rmce.bat"
- Restart the system
Check Removal Results
- There should NOT be any firmware update request messages from Clara E GUI - OK.
- The Clara E Icon should NOT appear as taskbar icon - OK.
- NO "Clara E" in windows device manager in "Sound, video and game controllers" - OK.
- NO "Clara E" in windows device manager in "Software Components" - OK.
If all checkpoints are OK, continue with "Install new driver"
Else, follow the steps in "More Cleanup required".
More Cleanup required
- Open the Windows Device Manager. Enable "View | Show hidden devices"
- Uninstall first all Clara E in "Software Components" (Right click | "Uninstall device")
- Uninstall now all Clara E in "Sound, video and game controllers" (Right click | "Uninstall device")
- Enable "Delete the driver software ... " if this option is available during uninstall.
- Restart the system
- Jump to section "Check Removal Results"
Install new driver
If all older driver software is removed:
- Open Windows Device Manager
- "Other Devices" | "Multimedia Controller", right click, "Update Driver"
Check Install Results
- After a couple of seconds ... :

The Clara E Icon should appear in the windows taskbar.
Check version via Taskbar Icon | Click | About. It should be 4.7.1.0.
OR

You should get a firmware update request message from Clara E GUI
Testwise click "No" - then check Version via Taskbar Icon Menu | About. Should be 4.7.1.0.
If OK, via Taskbar Icon Menu open Settings | Firmware and "Start Dante Firmware Update Manager now"
If the Clara E Icon does not appear and you are not requested to update the firmware, restart the computer check the install results again.
After that restart, if the results are still not OK, follow the steps as explained in "More Cleanup required"
