Clara A/D

Occupying just a single PCIe slot width, the Clara A/D provides connectivity for up to 32 audio channels. The balanced analogue inputs and outputs are located directly on the main board, while the digital AES/EBU connections are routed to a D-Sub connector without additional active electronics. This allows the breakout to be positioned freely within the computer chassis, independent of the motherboard, or mounted alongside other PCIe components using the slot bracket.

During computer startup and system initialization, the analogue outputs are automatically muted. This auto-mute function reliably protects both connected equipment and the user’s hearing from sudden level spikes.

Highest audio quality for analog and digital signals

With 115 dB dynamic range and a THD+N of less than 0.001% at -1 dBfs, the analog connections of the Clara A/D play in the top sound league. A hefty level of +15 dBu provides enough headroom at the inputs and sufficient signal at the outputs for any connected device. Analog and digital processing is 24 Bit and 192 kHz throughout, with no restrictions on the number of channels.

Realtime Routing, Mixing and EQ

Each input signal of the sound system can be level-adjusted individually and routed to any output with zero latency. The BEAST DSP Mixer can also sum up to 64 signals into eight independent buses and distribute them to any number of outputs without delay. In addition, playback signals from any DAW can be integrated directly into the mixer. All mix buses can be routed back into recording applications, enabling flexible monitoring and recording workflows. Precision Clock

The internal clocking of the Clara sound system delivers exceptionally low jitter of less than one nanosecond. Switchable Samplerate Converter (SRC)

The software-switchable sample rate converters (SRCs) allow any digital input signal to be fed into the sound system independently of its sample rate or clock configuration. This enables seamless connection of digital devices without the need for dedicated synchronization lines.
